Dear Mr. Lee,
In response to your letter of January 5, 2019, the Archdiocese has completed its investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct by your former pastor Fr. Hong and determined they are unsubstantiated. Similarly, the allegations of financial mishandling and embezzlement at St. Andrew Kim were investigated and no evidence was found. A statement will be going out to the parish at Mass this weekend which in effect clears your name. I have considered your request for an admonishment of those parishioners who made these allegations and implicated you. After full consideration, the Archdiocese is not going to make any public admonishments because this simply continues the internal fighting, creating further divisions and conflict. What is best for the parish community at this time is humility, forgiveness and reconciliation as the new pastor takes over.
